Exam Information Retrieval WS 17/18

Here is the PDF of the written exam.

Here is a sketch of the solution (with no guarantee whatsoever).

Written Exam

The written exam for the course took place on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 14:00 - 16:30 h in the rooms 082-00-006 (Kinohörsaal, last name A - K) and 101-00-036 (Hörsaal 036, last name L - Z). 48 people participated in the exam. It was not allowed to leave the room before the end of the exam.

The exams were corrected on the same day. The results were entered into the HISinOne by 21:20 h.

The exam inspection took place on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 14:00 - 15:00 h in room 051-02-028 (office Prof. Bast). 21 participants came to check their exam. The grade improved by one step in 2 cases.

A maximum of 100 points could be reached. The minimum number of points needed to pass the exam was 50. The assignment of points to marks and the distribution of marks over the participants was as follows. Note that the counts on the right-hand side sum up to 48, which happens to be the number of people who participated in the exam. This is no coincidence.
